How to Get Rid of Lower Pouch Fat

For many people, especially older women, lower pouch fat is some of the hardest body fat to get rid of. Even after repeated attempts to lose the pouch using fad diets and expensive machines, it just keeps coming back. There’s no secret pill or diet that will get rid of lower pouch fat, just as there is no secret to getting rid of arm fat, neck fat, or any other kind of fat. The real key is diet and exercise. If you consume fewer calories than you burn, you will lose excess fat all over the body, even in that stubborn pouch. The most important thing is to be consistent and never give up.

Step 1:

Consume a low-fat diet that’s rich in nutrients and well-balanced. Healthy whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins are really all you need to stay fit and to burn fat away. Keep sugar, salt, fried foods, simple carbohydrates, processed foods, and beer to a minimum. Eat a lean, energy-packed breakfast every morning and avoid snacking heavily or having dinner right before bedtime. Be disciplined, but don’t starve yourself.

Eat healthy foods.

Step 2:

Drink lots of water. In addition to providing a long list of other health benefits, water will help you feel fuller between meals so you avoid mindless, unnecessary snacking. Doctors recommend drinking eight glasses a day.

Drink lots of water.

    Step 3:

Exercise at least moderately several times a week. This could consist of walking, jogging, playing basketball, swimming, jumping rope, inline skating, or biking. Anything is better than nothing. Exercise helps you reduce the excess fat in your lower stomach by burning lots of calories.

    Exercise moderately.

    Step 4:

Do some light muscle training in the lower abdominals. You don’t even need to belong to a gym for this. Do some crunches, situps, leg lifts or other abdominal exercises right at home. These help tone the muscles so that when you do lose the body fat through good diet and exercise, you’ll be able to see firm abs underneath.

You can do sit ups at home.
